In mid-September, the synthetic latex market maintained its upward trajectory with no signs of decline. Raw material prices for butadiene and acrylonitrile continued to rise, prompting most manufacturers to increase latex prices. Some producers faced slightly constrained supply, prioritising shipments to retain existing customers.
The styrene-butadiene latex market also showed an upward trend this week, though price adjustments by certain manufacturers were relatively gradual. Pressured by rising costs, most manufacturers anticipate further price increases, though the extent of future adjustments remains uncertain. In East China, styrene-butadiene latex quotations ranged between ¥6,800 and ¥7,800 per tonne, marking a 4.28% increase from the previous week. Acrylonitrile butadiene latex (ABN) quotations stood at ¥8,000 to ¥8,500 per tonne, reflecting a 6.49% weekly rise.
